Job Title: Head of Engineering
Salary: $180,000.00 per year
Job Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Job Duties: Provide strong technical leadership to the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with the CEO and other stakeholders to define and execute the company’s engineering roadmap, aligning it with the overall business objectives and growth plans. Oversee and manage the engineering team, including hiring, mentoring, and performance evaluations. Encourage professional development and create a positive work environment. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to RentCheck’s tech stack (Node.js, React, React Native, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, PostgreSQL, etc.) and guide the team in adopting best practices and efficient development methodologies. Ensure the successful execution of engineering projects, including setting realistic goals, establishing project timelines, and managing resources effectively. Monitor progress and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of engineering efforts with overall company objectives. Implement and enforce rigorous testing and quality control processes to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure software solutions. Identify opportunities for system optimization, scalability improvements, and performance enhancements to support RentCheck’s growth and user demands. No travel required; remote work permitted.
Job Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 96 months of experience in Computer engineering, software engineering, or similar occupation.
